Summer Family Portraits

School is out, your schedules have settled down a bit, and life is free and easy. It's warm outside, and the golden light is glorious.  It was such a pleasure to stop the world one July evening and meet this family outside for some gorgeous family photos.

Families know that they can grab quick snapshots on their own of their children, so typically when they book with me, their top priority is to capture the whole family together.  Everyone loves having a portrait of everyone looking beautiful in one shot.   Families frequently choose me because they know that they can count on me to capture this.  (They also know that sometimes, not everyone cooperates at the same time, but that I will be sure to work my retouching magic and combine everyone's best smile into one image.  (Can you tell whose face was swapped in above?)

The second most common parent request is a photograph of all of the children together. 

For variety on a wall display, I also love to mix it up and capture various sibling groupings. 

Naturally, every child shines in his or her own way, and parents love individual portraits of their children as well. 

Children love helping me get mom and dad to smile, and couples are surprised by how much they enjoy having a portrait of themselves!

In 20 minutes or so, images that complete a family wall or album, and provide holiday gifts for all of the relatives, are complete!
