Back in the Saddle Again!

Never Say Never!  

When I left teaching to turn my part time photography business into a full time career, I never thought I'd teach again. As many of you know, my year took on some wild and unexpected twists and turns after our Santa Sessions this year! When Pascack Valley High School's photography teacher needed to leave quite suddenly, I was asked to interview to take over the class.  With a wealth of experience teaching at the elementary and middle school levels, and a passion for sharing my photography far and wide, I jumped at the opportunity and continued running Elise Campbell Photography outside of school hours.  Read more by clicking here. 

Little did I know that this position would last for the entire school year! After an amazing year of teaching photography to Hillsdale and River Vale's high schoolers, and becoming part of a family of incredible colleagues,  I’m thrilled to announce that I’m back—fully and passionately—behind the lens and ready to serve my amazing clients full time, with renewed creativity and purpose.  I loved that but I missed this, for sure!

This incredibly rewarding experience deepened my perspective and reconnected me with the foundational “why” behind what I do. Watching students discover the magic of storytelling through light, composition, and emotion made me realize how far I had come on my own photography journey, and how much work it takes to capture real, unforgettable moments that reflect who we are. (I think I had taken for granted how easily my skills came to me!) 

Now, I'm thrilled to be back in full swing.
